Kodachadri is reputed for its splendid sunrises and sunsets and a famous trekking destination. It is a natural heritage site and the peak of Kodachadri is at 1343 meters above sea level and is around 15 km distance from Kodachadri Nature Retreat.

Devagange is located approximately 4 km from nagara Fort and 10 km from Kodachadri Nature Retreat, it has 7 ponds which is built by keladi dynast.
SHIVAPPA NAYAKA FORT
Nagara is a historic village in the Shimoga district of the state of Karnataka, built by Shivappa Nayak of Keladi Kingdom. Fort is around 10 km distance from Kodachadri Nature Retreat.
SAVEHAKLU RESERVOIR
Savehaklu Reservoir is Situated 6 Km away from Chakra dam and is around 18 Km from Kodachadri Nature Retreat. Savehaklu reservoir is one of the water sources for Linganamakki Dam and was constructed before the Linganamakki Dam.
HIDLUMANE FALLS
The falls are situated on Kodachadri trek route and is 10 km distance from Kodachadri Nature Retreat. Hidlumane Falls are a series of 6 cascading falls each falling from a height of 60 to 70 feet. Around 3 Km to be trekked from the road after the Jeep ride to reach the falls.
KAVALEDURGA FORT
Kavaledurga Fort is a hidden beauty in the Western Ghats. The place is best known for its fort which was built in the 9th century and is around 35 km distance from Kodachadri Nature Retreat. The fort has seven water bodies and access to water all year long.
KUNCHIKAL FALLS
Kunchikal Falls is located Nidagodu village near Masthikatte in Shimoga and around 30 km from Kodachadri Nature Retreat. The beautiful thing about the Kunchikal waterfall is the natural appearance of the rocks which the water cascades giving a breath-taking, mesmerising view.
SRI MOOKAMBIKA TEMPLE KOLLUR
35 km from Kodachadri Nature Retreat, Kollur Mookambika is an ancient temple that has a lot of history attached to it. According to temple history, this is the only one temple that is dedicated to Goddess Parvathi.
VARAHI POWER PLANT
A hydroelectric power plant, constructed near Manibail village, across the Varahi river. Varahi is Karnataka’s first underground powerhouse and is around 45 km distance from Kodachadri Nature Retreat.
TALASI ABBI FALLS
Talasi Abbi falls lies remotely hidden in the Western Ghats between Mastikatte and Tirthahalli and roughly 30 km from Kodachadri Nature Retreat.
SRI SIGANDUR CHOWDESHWARI TEMPLE
Shri Kshetra is located on the banks of Sharavati River and can be reached from Kodachadri Nature Retreat, using a launcher to cross Sharavati backwaters, temple is around 45 km from homestay.
HANGING BRIDGE
Hanging Bridge built on the Sharavati backwaters is 2km away from Nittur near Nagodi and around 25 km from Kodachadri Nature Retreat. It’s a great place for Hangout and to take pictures.
